The Sale of the Universe

Poetry's a form
of criticism. Against
your glower-

battered names,
the wall wears
your face, a trick

that makes
your ghost mine.
Wind sounds

in the film
and the ear's
firm tread stills

the eye. I rise, close
the door. I read
for where I go,

grassy, uncontrolled.
